Alexander Sylvestro

83 of Durham passed away peacefully on June 3, 2021. He attended Middletown High School and after graduation enlisted into the U.S. Airforce for 4 years. He had a 30 year career as a Technical Writer at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft and lived in Cromwell most of his life. He was an avid New York Yankees and Giants fan, loved playing Cribbage and Bingo, going to the beach, crabbing and clamming. Predeceased by his wife Ellen, son Gregory, brother Gary and parents Mary and Theodore "Toots" Sylvestro. He is survived by Beth Ann Sylvestro of Northford, CT, Allison (husband, Trent) Miclette of Norton, OH, grandchildren including Christopher,( fiancee' Rachel) Kevin, Skylar, and Hunter, nieces  Donna, Kate,  Becky and  his daughter in law Kathy Sylvestro .nephew Brian. and sister-in-law Marge and brother-in-law Michael .

Special thanks for the care the staff gave at his  skilled nursing facility, Twin Maples. Services include a walk through  from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Middletown, CT, Thursday, 6/10 with a mass funeral at St., John's Church in Cromwell, CT, Friday, 6/11 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gilead Community Services online at www.gileadcs.org or checks can be sent to Gilead, P.O.
