Angela Carta, a longtime resident of Middletown, CT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the age of 90, while in hospice care in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

Born on October 31, 1934, in Middletown, Connecticut, Angela was the daughter of the late Joseph Carta and Lucy (Cerino) Carta. She was predeceased by her beloved brothers, Frank and Carol Carta, and Joseph and Helen Carta.

Angela dedicated her career to Farmers and Mechanics Bank, where she began working after graduating from high school and remained until her retirement. Her commitment and strong work ethic were evident throughout her years of service.

In her later years, as dementia progressed, Angela was lovingly cared for by her niece, Linda, and her husband, Robert Coleman Jr., in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Although she resided in Florida, her heart always remained in her cherished home of Middletown, Connecticut.

Angela is survived by her devoted nieces, Linda and Robert Coleman Jr., Celeste and Wray Johnson, and her nephew, Joseph and Yvonne Carta. She also leaves behind six great-nieces and nephews, and five great-great-nieces and nephews, who will fondly remember her.

A funeral mass in celebration of Angela's life will be held on Friday, June 6th, at 11:00 AM at Saint Sebastian Church in Middletown, CT. Following the mass, a burial will take place at Saint John's Cemetery on Johnson Street in Middletown.
