Angela Scamporlino (Perticone), 75, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 27, 2022, at her daughter's home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 5th, 1946, in Melilli, Sicily to the late Sebastiano and Annetta (Milardo) Perticone. She was predeceased by her husband, Paolo, in 2016. Before retirement, she worked many years in manufacturing. Angela had a passion for cooking, especially for her family. Among the many dishes she loved to cook, her specialties were her homemade pizza, scacciata, and bread. She especially loved to dance, too. She loved her grand pups, Alfonso and Lola, which brought her great comfort and joy during her treatment, as did her cat, Luigi. Angela is survived by her daughter, Joanna (Scamporlino) Bonney, her husband, Matthew Bonney, and her son Steve Scamporlino. A brother, Annibale Perticone, of Melilli, Sicily. A sister, Maria, also of Melilli. In-law's Paolo and Enza Vernali, of Glastonbury, and Sebastiana Monarca of Middletown. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins, both here and in Sicily. She loved everyone very, very much.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, September 2, at 10 A.M at St. Sebastian's Church in Middletown. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield. Relatives and friends may call D'Angelo's Funeral Home at 22 South Main St, Middletown on Thursday, Sept 1, from 4-6 P.M.
