Ann E. (Fazzino) Sampieri, 90, beloved wife of Carmelo Sampieri, who pre-deceased her in 2013, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016. She was born on September 4, 1926 in Middletown, CT, daughter of the late Salvatore and Concettina (Catalano) Fazzino.

She was a member of St. Sebastian's Church, past Auditor of the St. Theresa's Guild, a member of the Italian American Civic Order Ladies Auxiliary, one of the founding members of the Daughters of our Lady of the Garden Guild and was a volunteer at Gianelli's Early Learning Center.

Ann was a 1944 graduate of Middletown High School, entering the workforce as a bookkeeper at Mohican Market and later at Page & Warner.

Ann loved to travel with her husband, especially to their favorite destination, Aruba, dancing the night away to their favorite song, "Spanish Eyes."

She is survived by daughters Joanne Sampieri and Marie Vernik, grandchildren Kristen (Steven) Esteves and Eric (Tara) Eyles, and great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Meadow, Sydney and Dan.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:15 am at St. Sebastian's Church. Burial will be in St. Sebastian's Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 5-7 pm at D'Angelo's Funeral Home, 22 South Main St. and Thursday morning at St. Sebastian's Church from 10-11:15 am, followed by a mass of Christian burial.
