Anna Maria (Magnano) Morello

Anna Maria (Magnano) Morello, 92, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Thursday, August 11th at Yale New Haven Hospital after a short illness. Anna was born September 26, 1923 in Melilli, Sicily, daughter of the late Luigi and Sebastiana Magnano. Anna came to Middletown with her family from Melilli in 1963. She was a member of Saint Sebastian Church, Middletown. Anna is survived by 7 loving children and their spouses. Joseph (Maria), Luigi (Lidia), Salvatore (Sarena), Rosario (Kelly) and Robert Morello, Franca (Joseph) Lombardo, and Nella (Gino) Monarca. Also, her 12 beloved grandchildren: Carmelo (Ann) and RoseAnne Lombardo; Carmelo, Sal and Steve Morello, Carmelo (Ale) and Ricky (Stephanie) Morello, Anna (Levente) Kozak, Alicia (Xavier) Monarca, Corey (Niki), Jordan, and Sasha Morello. And 7 great-grandchildren; Anthony Garofalo, Tiana Morello, Ava Lombardo, Henry, Nathan, Maria and Victoria Morello.also several nieces and npehews  Anna was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Carmelo Morello, Two brothers Salvatore and Sebastiano Magnano and a sister Concetta Marotta. Funeral Services will be held Monday August 15th  at 9 A.M. from the D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main St, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Sebastian Church. Burial will be in the family plot in St Sebasatian Cemetery , Middlefield. Relatives may call at the Funeral Home Sunday, from 5-8 P.M.
