ANNA ( PAPA) SAPIA Anna ( Papa) Sapia, 90, of Middletown, beloved wife of the Late Angelo Sapia, passed away peacefully into the hands of God on Tuesday February 17, 2014 at Mid-State Medical Center, Meriden. Anna was born in Naples Italy, daughter of the Late Joseph and Giovanna Papa. She came to the United States in 1956 and Spent the rest of her life in Connecticut. She was a member of St. Sebastian Church. Anna is survived by her sons Salvatore ( Phyllis ) Sapia, Frank ( Rosalie) Sapia of Middletown Her daughters Michela ( Dominic) Ragosta of Ocala Fla and Joanne (Michael) Sienna) of Portland, Maria Warmsley of Hawaii.. Two sisters Yolanda and Josephine of Ocala Fla and a brother John Papa of Naples Italy. 13 Grandchildren and 22 Great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a daughter Josephine ( Thomas) Lombardo). Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning at 9 A.M. from the D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South main St followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Sebastian Church. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield. Relatives and friends may call home Friday from 5-7 P.M.
