Antonio Monarca, 43, of Middletown, Connecticut, passed away on December 23, 2016, New Haven, at Yale New Haven Hospital after a courageous and fearless battle with cancer.

Antonio was born in Middletown, Connecticut to Guerino and Donata Monarca on June 19, 1973. He was united in holy matrimony to Darly Monarca on September 12, 2009. From this wonderful union came two healthy, beautiful and blessed children, Sabrina and Nicolas Antonio Monarca. He went to school at Vinal Technical High School. Antonio's life was dedicated to the happiness of his children and his wife. He worked as a successful construction entrepreneur from a very young age and influenced the success and happiness of everyone around him.

Antonio was a true lover of life, he lived every day to the fullest, with a big smile on his face that infused everyone around him with hope and happiness. Antonio was an angel whose soul was lent to us by God for what we certainly perceive as a small amount of time; however, the brightest of lights shine only for a small period, and Antonio Monarca was certainly the brightest of them all. A lightning bolt of joy and happiness that will forever be in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be touched by his kind soul.

Visitations will be 4-7pm Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 22 South Main St, Middletown, CT.

Funeral services will be held at 10am Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 155 Washington St, Middletown, CT at St. Sebastian Church. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery. Arrangements are by D'Angelo Funeral Home.

Antonio is survived by His loving wife Darly Monarca, His daughter Sabrina Monarca, His son Nicolas Antonio Monarca, His brothers: Amedeo Monarca, Marco Monarca and Marco's fiancé Joanne Melia, Riccardo Monarca, and Riccardo's two children Gabriella and Riccardo Monarca Jr., His father Guerino Monarca, His mother Donata Monarca and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
