Obituary

GRAY, BRUCE STUART Bruce Stuart Gray, 71, of Middletown passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2014 due to melanoma. Born in Chicago, Illinois on February 15, 1943, he was the son of the late John Graham Gray and the late Martha (Blakley) Gray. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force serving state-side as a medic during the Vietnam era. Prior to his retirement, he was an information technology consultant. Mr. Gray was a commercially-rated multi-engine pilot with over 3000 hours logged in aircraft of various types, and was a scuba diver and an aircraft builder in his spare time. He leaves his loving wife of 47 years, Sandra (Moncardi) Gray; his son Brian A. Gray and his wife Marie of Ellington; his son John G. Gray and his wife Doreen of Bogota, Colombia; his sister Susan O'Connell of Indiana; his grandchildren William, Anthony, Owen, Marina and Nicolas; and his nephews David Larson, Christopher Brislin and Michael Brislin. The family would like to thank the dedicated nurses and staff at the Middlesex Hospital Home Hospice in addition to the special assistance and care provided by Mr. Gray's sister-in-law, Linda Brislin of Wethersfield. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, March 4, from 9:00 A.M to 11:30 A.M. at D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main Street, Middletown, followed by a burial with Military honors at the Middletown Veterans Cemetery. -
