Carmela ( LoGuidice) Fazzino, 77, wife of Benito Fazzino of Middletown, passed away peacefully Friday June 15, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness . She was born January 7, 1941 in Melilli, Sicily, daughter of the Late Giovanni and Sebastiana (Aresco) LoGuidice. She was a member of St. Sebastian Church.

Besides her husband she is survived by a son Sebastian Fazzino ( Susana), and two daughters Adriana Augeri and her husband Ron, and Stephanie Fazzino Svenberg and her husband Tadd. Four brothers Sebastian, Paolo, Santino and Emilio LoGuidice. Three sisters Phyliss Cartelli, Anna Andolina, and Cecilia Gaudino. Five grandchildren Lauren ( Nick), Ronnie, Sebastian, Julia and Gabby . She is predeceased by two sisters Josephine Marino and Maria Pulvirenti. Also many nieces and nephews

Carmela was known for her beautiful smile, warm and generous heart, and making people laugh. She learned how to cook at the age of eight years old; as her way of helping to provide for her large family. She was an amazing cook and baker. She made sure everyone was taken care of and well fed. Passionate about her planting for vegetable and flower gardens. She looked forward every year to harvesting and canning homemade tomato sauce and vegetables during the winter months

Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning at 9 A.M. from the D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main St, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 A.M at St. Sebastian Church. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
