CARMELINA ROSA Carmelina ( Pizzo) Rosa, formerly of Melilli, Italy and Middletown Ct, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 22, 2014 at the age of 99. She resided at Wadsworth Glen Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the Late Carmelo and Maria ( Tine) Pizzo, born September 2, 1915. She loved flowers especially roses, knitting ,crocheting, cooking, but most of all being with family. She was employed as a seamstress for forty years. She is survived by two daughters Sebastiana ( Nella) Fargione and her husband Giuseppe and Mary Latina both of Middletown. Sons. Carmelo Rosa Sr and his wife Georgiana of Haddam, Sebastiano Rosa of Bloomfield, Antonio Rosa and his wife Janice of Middletown and Peter Rosa and his wife Kathy of Middletown, 15 Grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband Giuseppe Rosa . a Sister Sebastiana Iglese and two brothers Salvatore and Nichola Pizzo and a Son in Law Joseph Latina The family wishes to express and thankfulness to the nursing staff of Wadsworth Glen and Middlesex Hospice for all the love and compassion they showed to our mother. Funeral Services will be held Monday morning at 9 A.M. from the D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main St, Middletown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Sebastian church . Burial will follow in the family plot in st. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home Sunday from 2-5 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Sebastian church Renovation Fund 155 Washington St.
