Timpano, Concettina
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Concettina Timpano on Sunday, December 30, 2018 after a long illness.
She was known by Tina to her family and Connie to her many friends and coworkers, who admired her for her impecible work ethic which was part of her Sicilian heritage.
Tina was born December 26, 1927 to the late Nazzareno and Mariannina (Sequenzia) Timpano on Cherry Street in Middletown. She was employed by Northeast Utilities in Management from 1953 to 1986, when she retired. Tina was a Communicant of Saint Sebastian Church.
She loved to travel, especially to Italy and her parent's homeland of Sicily. She was a kind, generous, loving person.
She is survived by her cousin, Jesse Salafia, Sr. and his wife Ann and many second cousins, as well as her dearest friend, MaryAnn Cannata. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Anna Nannina Timpano and her dear first cousins.
The Funeral Liturgy will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Sebastian Church, 155 Washington Street, Middletown. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Sebastian Cemetery. Friends may call at D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main Street, Middletown on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the Mass.
Donations in Tina's name may be made to the Saint Sebastian Church Renovation Fund, 155 Washington Street, Middletown, CT 06457.
