With broken hearts we announce the passing of our mom and nana, Donna (Pearson) Noonan, 74, of Durham on May 31st 2018. She was the daughter of Carolyn Adams of Middletown and the late Donald Pearson. She lived on Lyman farm in Middlefield moving with her family to Durham where she graduated from Durham High School then studied Physical Education at Southern CT Univ. She worked for many years as a manager for her family's businesses, Merriam Mfg. and Carolyn Adams' Country Barn, and later formed American Metal Crafters with her brothers. She was brilliant, creative, generous and kind. She was an amazing cook and baker, lovingly restored her historic house, and had a passion for antiques. She loved sailing, and her favorite place was the family beach house in Point O'Woods. Many hours were spent cheering on the Yankees and UConn Huskies. Her greatest love was her family to whom she was deeply devoted. She instilled in us a great sense of adventure and a love of travelling. She opened her home to our friends often lending a place to stay, and was a second mom to many. We were truly blessed to have you as our mother. She is survived by her daughters Kelly Noonan of Chicago, Kimberly Noonan of Durham, and Billie Jean Noonan and her husband Lance Brown of Haddam; two adoring grandsons who meant the world to her, Liam and Dylan Brown; her mother Carolyn Adams; siblings and their spouses Ken and Marilyn Pearson of Durham, Dan and Gail Pearson of Northford; sisters Alana Adams of Durham and Belinda Adams of FL; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her step father Allan Adams, and sister Carole "Gigi" Pearson. Friends may call at the D'Angelo funeral home, 22 South Main St, Middletown, on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at the United Churches in Durham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, 555 Long Wharf Drive, Suite 1D, New Haven, CT 06511
