Elaine Bodge passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022 in Middletown, CT. Elaine was born in Watertown, CT and is pre-deceased by her parents Donald & Louise Birdsall, brothers Donald & George Birdsall and her Sisters Edna (Birdsall) McCarthy, Viola (Birdsall) Armstrong, Irene (Birdsall) Cody, Betty (Birdsall) Duszak, Margaret (Birdsall) Kloss, Polly (Birdsall) Caliolo, Ruth (Birdsall) Matula. She is survived by her husband William C. Bodge III, daughter Sharyl Bodge, son and daughter in law Kevin & Lori Bodge, son and daughter in law William C. Bodge & Sarah Lieschke-Bodge, Grandchildren Michelle E. Bodge, Kevin C. Bodge, Catherine Bodge, Wolfgang Bodge and Nolan Bodge and her brothers David Birdsall and Warren Birdsall and her sister Barbara (Birdsall) Crosby.

Elaine enjoyed cooking, shopping and traveling, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends. She adored her grandchildren and spoiled them whenever she had the opportunity to do so. She will be missed by her friends Arlene Palmeri, Terry Chiappetta and Barbara Gill who she had shared many shopping trips and adventures with. Most of all she will be dearly missed by her family, who feel blessed to have had such a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will forever be a part of us and for that we are thankful, rest in peace you will be missed by all that knew you and we will always cherish our memories of you.

A memorial service will be held at the D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main St., Middletown, CT 06457 on Friday February 18th, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
