Emanuel J. Spada, husband of the late Ann "Dolly" Passinissi, passed away at Middlesex Hospital on April 29, 2018. He was born June 10, 1929, in Cromwell, son of the late Emanuel Spada Sr. and Lucia Malone. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a carpenter and he belonged to St. Sebastian Church. Emanuel was also a Veteran of the Korean War and served in the U.S. Army He is survived by three sons, Emanuel Spada Jr and his wife Linda of Cromwell, Thomas Spada and his wife Janice of Middletown and Steven Spada and his wife Heather of Coventry. He is survived by a brother, John Spada and his wife Barbara of Wethersfield and a sister, Nellie Maddrachia of Cromwell. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Sherry, Ryan, Shaun, Jason, Justine and Tiana, as well as four great grandchildren, Cassandra, Carmelina, Julian, and Lucas. He was predeceased by a daughter, Angelina Spada. Family and friends may call at the D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main St, Middletown, on Wednesday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. from the D'Angelo Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Sebastian Church.
