Guy Inferrera, 88, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Guy was born on June 14, 1932 in Middletown, CT, graduated from Middletown High School in 1950 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a loving husband and a devoted father and grandfather. He was a longtime resident of Middlefield and spent the last 5 years in Chester. He worked as a machinist at Products Design in Newington for 45 years. He was a past member of the Elk's Lodge #771 and the Italian American Civic Club in Middletown.
Guy was an avid sports fan. Baseball was his passion and he was a gifted player and a loyal Yankee fan. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing and watching the UCONN Women's basketball games. His greatest joy was watching his grandsons play baseball and basketball.
Guy will always be remembered by his friendly and kind-hearted spirit. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Florence, daughters Lori Inferrera (Jeffrey Hayn) and Kathy Przywara, grandchildren Matthew and Michael Przywara and step grandchildren Colin and Melanie Hayn. He also leaves behind his sisters Josephine Zimmittee and Donna Gibson, brother-in-law Jim Ruffino (Rita) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Sebastion and Mary Inferrera.
