Guy J. Tommasi, Sr, 95 passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2015 with his loving family by his side. A lifelong resident of Middletown, he was pre-deceased by his loving wife Rose (Pestritto) Tommasi of 62 years. Born to Michele and Sebastiana (Falbo) Tommasi on May 25,1919, he was the youngest of 6 children. He leaves behind his 3 children, Anne, Michael (Patricia), Guy (Teresa) and a special grandson, John Michael. He also leaves a sister-in-law Carmel Tommasi and several nieces and nephews. He was pre- deceased by his siblings, Corrado, Salvatore, Antoinette (Mazzotta), Michael, and Frank. He honorably served his country during WW II in the United States Air Corp as a Radar Instructor on the B-29s. He was a Sitting Trustee at St. Sebastian Church, and a Member of the Finance and Feast Committee's. He was also Past Grand Knight Forest City Council #4. A lifetime member of Middletown Elks #771, a member of the Italian Society, Polish Falcons & Ethics Committee for the City of Middletown. He retired after 24 X years as Director of Consumer Protection for the City of Middletown. He was a past President of the Weights and Measures Commission for the State of Connecticut. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 10:00AM at St. Sebastian Church followed by a burial with full military honors at St. Sebastian Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 4 to 7~P.M. at D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main St., Middletown, CT.
