On June 12, 2018 Jacob Tyler Vaina, born on June 16, 1998 in Middletown Connecticut, lost his 2 year battle with addiction. Jacob was NOT defined by his addiction. Jacob was defined by his heart of gold. A heart that held so much love, compassion, and respect for all.. Jacob would light up any room that he walked into with his goofy personality. He radiated with kindness. The type of kindness that drove him to gather supplies for the homeless in his town, Enfield, Connecticut. The type of kindness that made it impossible for him to pass judgment upon others. It didn't matter what Jacob had going on in his life, he'd do anything to help you be the best person you could be, above and beyond his own well being. Jacob leaves behind his deeply distraught Mother, Heather Merrill, Step father James Merrill and father Joseph Vaina. Jacob also leaves behind his inconsolable sister and best friend Tiffany Williams and her husband Kenneth Williams, and Jacobs niece McKenna Williams a step sister Nicole Tran,. Last but not least, Jacobs predeceased grandmother Hilma Burgess, his surviving grandfather Richard Burgess and wife Ann Burgess. Elyjah Alexander-Mccray, Evan Alves, James Scovill, as well as MANY close friends suffer alongside us as well, as part of this family too. May his soul rest in complete piece and paradise.
