Joan A. Kovi, 74, of 628 Congdon St, West, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2017 at Middlesex Hospital. Joan was born on October 15, 1942 in New Haven. she was the daughter of the Late Charles E. and Hilda ( Dickman) Schecher. Prior to
her retirement Joan had been employed by the Masonic Home in Wallingford.
Joan enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, she loved watching NASCAR races, was a lover of small animals and was a member of the " Red hat society" More than anything Joan loved her children and Grandchildren.
She is survived by her three daughters Lisa Raccio and her husband Stephen of Wallingfrod, Kimberly de la Cruz and her husband David of Middletown and Kassandra McGran and a her husband Brian of Middletown, and her son Christopher Kovi of Bronx N.Y.. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Kaylie, Jade, Kellen and Sebastian.
A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday May 20th at 1 P.M. at he D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main st. Burial will be Private and at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association
