John LaTerra, 50, of Middletown, retired Police Officer with Middletown Police Dept, passed away on October 23, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital, following a long illness. He was born March 23, 1968 in Middletown, son of the Late Salvatore and Maria ( Canarella). He was a member of St. Sebastian Church, The Italian Society of Middletown, The Renegade Pigs Motorcycle Club Gertz-Meriden and a member of the Red Dog family,

He is survived by a son Salvatore Laterra, his former wife Lucia LaTerra A daughter Vanessa Lastrina. His sister and brother in Law Lucy Ranger and Scott Gaski. His brother Antonio Laterra and sister in law Nicole Laterra and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 A.M. at St. Sebastian Church, 155 Washington St. Burial will follow in the family plot in st. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield. Relatives and friends may call at the D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main St on Friday from 4-8 P.M.
