Fazzino, Joseph 94, beloved husband of 67 years to the late Maria (Pitruzzello) Fazzino, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 21 surrounded by his family. He was born January 28, 1921 in Cromwell, CT son of the late Antonino and Paolina (Melluzzo) Fazzino. Joseph lived in Middletown most of his life. He brought enthusiasm to every endeavor, and he truly loved and cared for the people in his life. He is survived by: two sons, Anthony and his wife Lina, Mario and his wife Suzanne of Middletown, daughter Paula and her husband Jonathan Lieberman of East Haddam, six grandchildren; Joseph and wife Louise, Maryellen and husband Bradley Doyle, Paul, John, Jennifer, Richard Lieberman and his wife Sarah, two great grandchildren; Harris Doyle and Linnea Fazzino, an affectionate sister Vicenzina (Jane) Magnano and dedicated brother Paul and his wife Barbara Fazzino as well as a sister in law Rose Fazzino. He was pre-deceased by his sister Anna Santapaola, brother Frank Fazzino and step mother Angelina Fazzino. His family would like to thank his many endearing nieces, nephews, close relatives and circle of friends who he enjoyed spending time with in spirited conversations. A special thank you to his exceptional and compassionate caretakers Menzura and Mouhamad. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 AM at St. Sebastian Church. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery in Middlefield. Calling hours will be held at D'Angelo Funeral Home on 22 South Main St. Middletown on Wednesday at 5- 7 PM.
