On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, Joseph Genovese, loving son, brother and uncle unexpectedly passed away at the age of 62. Born on July 23, 1961 to Salvatore and Adalgisa Genovese In Middletown, Ct. Joseph was the third of seven children. He graduated from

Vinal Regional Technical High School in 1979 and took classes at Middlesex Community College before joining the Laborers Local Union 611, a Career he held until his 2021 retirement. A passionate sports fan, Joseph played soccer, basketball, men's softball and Golf, and was involved in coaching C.Y.O high school basketball. As a spectator . he was a staunch supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Orioles, New York Knicks and Boston Bruins. Joseph was predeceased in death by his father Salvatore and his brother in law Rosario Cannamela. He is survived by his mother Adalgisa his sisters Mary Ann Cannemela Silvana Genovese and her life partner Tom Musemeci, and Sandra Genovese' His brothers Carmelo, John and Marco Genovese. Sisters in law Kathleen and Christine Genovese, and many cousins in the United States and Sicily. In addition he leaves four nephews Tony, Lorenzo. Giancarlo and Deneli; Eight nieces Fabiana, Jenna, Gia, Adrianna, Alexa, Sofia, Alara and Aysegul all of whom he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with. Calling Hours will be held at the D'Angelo Funeral Home Wednesday morning Martch 27, from 9-10:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Sebastian Church. Burial will be private in the family plot in St. Sebastian Cemetery.
