Joseph Vinci Jr., 89 passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Joe was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Scirpo) Vinci. He is survived by brother Robert and sister Rosemarie, nephew Michael Turner (Maria), grandniece and nephews Lauren, Nicholas and Christian.
And his significant other, Linda Passinese. Special thanks to Linda Passinese, Ewa and Sheila who always brightened Joe's day with their special compassionate care. Joe was a US Army Vet. Joe was a Middletown Councilman, serving on Public Works, Fire, Water and Sewer, Senior Affairs and Inland Wetlands Commissions. He was a member of IACO, Middlesex Area Patient Service Support Group, CT Chapter of National MS Society, Middletown Charity Sports Dinner, Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, CEMA, Motor Transport, NE Fire Marshal, CT Chiefs of Police Associations, 100 Club, KofC 4th Degree, and C. Columbus Statue committees, and St Sebastian Church Cadillac raffle. He was retired from the Vinci Oil Co.
Calling hours and funeral services will be held at St. Sebastian Church, 155 Washington St., Middletown Friday August 22, 2025. Calling hours 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial followed by burial at St. Sebastian Cemetery. D'Angelo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Sebastian Church in his memory. Rest in peace Joe you will be dearly missed.
