Josephine (Gioco) Branciforte
Josephine Branciforte, 93, of Middletown, beloved wife of the late Rosario Branciforte for 69 years, passed away June 29, 2021, at home surrounded by her children.
She was born in Rollinsford, New Hampshire on January 17, 1928, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Garofalo) Gioco.
Prior to her retirement, Josie worked for the Middletown Board of Education cafeteria services.
She is survived by her daughter Joann (Seb) Lombardo of Cape Cod, son Tom (Zina) of Middletown, granddaughter Lindsey Taylor of Portland, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Salustro and Frances Quagliaroli.
There will be a mass in her honor at St Sebastian Church at 10:00 on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Burial will be in the family plot at St Sebastian Cemetery Middlefield. Arrangements are in the care of D'Angelo Funeral Home, Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
