Leslie P. Adams Jr., beloved husband of the late Margaret (Misenti) Adams, of Middletown, passed away on March 28, 2025. He was born in Newbury Port, MA, on March 6, 1927, son of the late Leslie P. Adams Sr. and Mary (Barrett) Adams. A graduate of Newbury Port High School, Leslie attended Middlesex Community College and University of New Haven, earning a Certificate in Paralegal Studies. A proud member of the United States Navy, Leslie served in WWII, Korea, and the Cuban Missile Conflict, he also served as a Recruit Division Commander at Recruit Training Command (RTC) Great Lakes, IL. Upon retirement from his distinguished Naval career of 21 years, Leslie worked for Northeast Utilities as a Construction Expediter for 25 years until his retirement. A devoted parishioner of Saint Sebastian Church, he was a member of the Holy Name Society, Ushers Ministry, and Saint Sebastian Feast volunteer. Leslie served as a member of the City of Middletown Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, and as a State of CT Elections Moderator, and Justice of the Peace. He was a member of the Middletown Republican Town Committee, and Middletown Elks Lodge #771. Leslie is survived by his daughter, Maryann Misenti, his sons, Leslie P. (Les) Adams, III and E. Vincent (Vince) Adams, three grandchildren, Sebastian Adams, Christopher Misenti and Falon Rose Adams, and sister-in-law, Florence (Misenti) Giuliano, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara (Adams) Bailey. Calling hours will be held at D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main Street, Middletown, on Wednesday, April 2nd, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Saint Sebastian Church, Middletown, on Thursday, April 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Saint Sebastian Cemetery, immediately following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Sebastian Church Renovation Fund.
