On September 17, 2016 Lucy Mazzarella, passed away at Middlesex Hospital at the age of 61 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  Lucy was born on April 19,1955 in Middletown to the late Teresa and Salvatore Loguidice.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Salvatore. Together they raised their children, Sally, Paul, Anthony and Christine. Lucy will also be remembered by her grandchildren, Isabella, Elisandra and Angelina. Lucy is survived by her loving sister, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews. She also leaves her stepmother, Tina Loguidice of Italy who became her second mother and Nonna Tina to her children.  She also leaves Salvatrice Mazzarella, wife of the late Paolo Mazzarella. Together Lucy and Sal opened and operated Sal's New York Pizza in South Windsor.

The family would like to thank Dr. Leavy and his staff for the care and dedication through these years.  Also to Dr. Boutin, Dr. Zeidler and the amazing staff at Middlesex Hospice.
