Luigi Giovanni Mazzotta, 86, of Middletown, CT, beloved husband of Maria Rosetta (Fazzino) Mazzotta, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, at his home surrounded by loving family by his side.
Born on May 22, 1938, in Melilli, Sicily, Luigi (Gino) was the son of the late Mario and Rosaria (Giardina) Mazzotta. A resident of Middletown for over 63 years, he was known for his love of family, unwavering strength, and generous heart.

A man of many talents and a true "Jack of all trades," Luigi had a gift for taking on any project, big or small. Whether it was making repairs to the family car, handling plumbing or electrical work around the house, or even shingling the roof, he never shied away from a challenge. His family and friends knew him as a go-to person for help, and he was always there to lend a hand.
Gino had a deep love for the outdoors, and during the summer months, he found great joy in tending to his garden. He was immensely proud of the fruits of his labor and was always generous, and eager to share his bounty with others. His garden was a reflection of his nurturing spirit, and it will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
