DiClemente, Maria (Sicuso)
Maria (Sicuso) DiClemente, 73, of Cromwell, wife of the late Dominick DiClemente passed away April 24, 2018 at Middlesex Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born in Catania, Italy to the late Vincenzo and Domenica Sicuso and traveled to the United States when she was just 19. Once Maria settled in Middletown she worked diligently to learn English and put herself through hairdressing school. Once she received her license she worked for several salons before opening her own which she operated until she retired.
Maria is survived by her sons, Jeffrey and Jason DiClemente; her daughter-in-law's, Jennifer and Nicole; her grandson, Jacob, who held a very special spot in her heart; her brothers, Nino and Aldo Sicuso and her sister, Lina Bramato. Maria also leaves behind her very dear friend Anna Aragona, who resides in Florida but whom she spoke to every day.
Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main St., Middletown, Connecticut, 06457. Following that, there will be a graveside service from 11:30 to 12:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford, Connecticut, 06114.
