Martin Ramsey Sr.

Martin S. Ramsey, Sr .He went by Marty. Passed away on Thursday at his home in Haddam Marty was kind and thoughtful, hardworking, sensitive, and generous. He would do anything for his family. His love of cooking and baking was a trait passed on to his children. He retired after 30 years from Whiting Forensic State Hospital and then worked another 20 years at Benchmark at South Farms Assisted Living, both in Middletown. Survived by his wife of 40 years, Angela (Cubeta) Ramsey, daughter Felicia (Ramsey) Crenshaw and her husband Trevor of East Haddam, son Martin S. Ramsey, Jr. and his wife Nicole of Guilford, son Jarrod Ramsey and his wife Rebecca of East Haddam, grandsons Theodore Crenshaw and Rip Ramsey, step-granddaughter Nikki Upchurch, sister Ann (Ramsey) Cubeta and her husband Joe of Cromwell, brother Joseph Ramsey of Middletown, and many nieces and nephews .Predeceased by his mother Angelina (Perruccio) Ramsey and father Joseph Ramsey, brothers Donald Ramsey and Frank Ramsey. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 A.M. at the D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main St, Middletown, burial will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery Middlefield.
