A lifetime Middletown resident, MaryAnn retired from the City of Middletown in 2000 after 35 years as a crossing guard, a job she truly loved. Her warm smile and friendly wave were a familiar sight to students and motorists alike. In her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling with her husband Sal and spending time at their cottage in Madison.

She was the beloved "Gram" of granddaughter Michelle Paguni, granddaughter Kristina (Scarrozzo) Charles and her husband Foster, granddaughter Jennifer Scarrozzo, and beloved "Great Gram" to great-grandchildren Dontae, Taylor, KiShawn, Harper, Parker and Wesley. In addition, she leaves behind her dear friend Sharon Hargraves, sister-in-law Joan Mancarella and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Gertrude (Mancarella) Mercier, brother Lawrence Mancarella, brothers-in-law Vincent Scarrozzo Sr. and his wife Italia, Louis Scarrozzo and his wife Eligia, and sisters-in-law Sophie Gionfriddo and her husband Frank and Josephine Ribera and her husband John.
Honoring her wishes, funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. D'Angelo's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
