Merle C. Reynolds III "Butch"
Merle C. Reynolds III "Butch" passed away on November 22, 2021 at Middlesex Convalescent Home from complications due to Huntington's Disease. He was born in Middletown, CT on March 22,1947. Son of Merle C. Reynolds Jr. and Carmelina Aresco Reynolds. He leaves behind his ex-wife Virginia Reynolds, his son Kevin and wife Marlena, his grandchildren Logan and Hayley. His sister Marie and husband Mark Leech and his two nephews Ian and Desmond. Also, leaves behind his close friends Richard and Ruth Greco.
He grew up in Middlefield and is a graduate of Middletown High School class of 1965. He attended Morse College. His career was in computer programming including working for The Hartford Insurance Group and Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He lived in Cromwell with his family and also lived in Eastham, Cape Cod- his happy place.
He was a lifetime member of the Middlefield and Cromwell Volunteer Fire Departments. He enjoyed bowling on the fire league. He was an avid Miami Dolphins and Boston Red Sox fan. He enjoyed watching WWF wrestling with his son Kevin. He was a model train enthusiast.
Services will be held on December 6, 2021 with a Mass of the Christian Burial at 11am at St. Coleman's Church at 170 Hubbard St., Middlefield, CT with celebration luncheon to follow for family and friends at Cantina Ristorante at 74 Court St., Middletown, CT. Memorial donations in his memory can be made to Huntington's Disease 505 Eighth Ave, Suite 902 New York, NY 10018. D'Angelo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
