Obituary

Patricia Fargione of Old Forge, NY (formerly of East Berlin, CT), beloved wife of Salvatore Fargione Sr, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, at the age of 87 surrounded by her family. She faced her final days with the same grace, prayers and strength that defined her life. Born March 16th, 1938! (Yes, we know, her best kept secret. Many knew her birthday was March 17th), in New Britain, CT to the late Helen and William Kania. In 1960 she married Salvatore and together they raised their sons Salvatore Jr and Frank Fargione, Stanely and Walter Godburn and daughter Barbara (Dilernia) Curnan of East Haven, CT. Her greatest joy came from time in the kitchen, watching Mass on TV or in church, her rosary beads and prayer, knitting, reading many books and magazines, tea parties with her sisters, talking on the phone, collecting Knick knacks and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. She will forever be cherished in our hearts and remembered always.
In addition to Patricias husband, sons and daughter she leaves behind her beloved sisters Eleanor Kokoska of Mocksville, NC, Georgiano (Carmelo) Rosa of Middletown, CT, Annette Hofner of Cromwell, CT. Her grandchildren Carla Fargione of Wallingford, CT, Sarah Fargione of Plainville, CT, Francesco (Amanda) Fargione of East Berlin, CT, Jaime Rankins of Cromwell, CT, Tina (Dan) Hartley and Alberto Dilernia. Her great-grandchildren Angelina Brennan of Wallingford, CT, Giovanny Rosario of Plainville, CT, Kyla, Angelica, Aliena Fargione of East Berlin, CT, Samuel and Jacob Hartley. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and her many girlfriends.
In addition to her parents and in laws Lucia and Francesco Fargione she was predeceased by her Brothers Thomas Cote and William Kania, her sister Claire Bilts and her brothers-in-law Chester Kokoska and Gino Fazzino.
