With profound sadness we announce the passing of Robin (Paladino) Vinas, a devoted wife, mother, and treasured member of the New Britain community, who passed away on Sunday after a brave battle with cancer.

Robin was a woman of many gifts and passions. She was the proud former owner of Groomingdales a dog grooming salon in New Britain, where she cared for each pet as if it were her own. Her compassion for animals reflected her kind and nurturing spirit.

She had a deep appreciation for life's simple joys — tending to her plants, searching for hidden treasures in antique shops, and cooking heartfelt meals for her family and friends. Robin was an exceptional cook, known for bringing people together through food and filling her home with warmth and love.

She was predeceased by her loving parents, Guy Paladino and Gladys Passifumi. As well as her father in law Butch Vinas. Robin is survived by her husband, Lionel Andrew Vinas, and their two sons, Andrew Vinas and Evan Vinas, who were her greatest joys. She also leaves behind her mother in law Sydney Jane Vinas, uncle Jay Passifumi, uncle Fred Paladino, aunt Irene Paladino, and many extended family members and dear friends who will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude.

Robin's life was a beautiful blend of creativity, generosity, and strength. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the meals she shared, the love she gave freely, and the memories she helped create.

In the words of a friend that Robin was able to make a huge impact on in the last few years "Even though I only got to know Robin for a little while, I instantly felt connected to her. She was hilarious, bold, spoke her mind, and was so refreshingly real. You couldn't help but laugh around her. She left such a strong impression on me. I'm heartbroken for you and your family. I know she's at peace now, but she will be deeply missed."

Services for Robin will be held on Monday June 30th from 5-7 at D'Angelo Funeral Home in Middletown, CT followed by a mass that will be held on Tuesday July 1st at 10 am in Saint Sebastian's Church in Middletown,CT.
