Ronald Curtis Thrasher, beloved husband of Joanne ( Fiducia) Thrasher for 53 years, passed away Sunday March 8, 2015. He was born September 22, 1944 in Middletown, where he was a lifelong resident. Ronald was the son of the Late Dorothy ( McEwen) and Henry Schneck. Ron was lifetime ( 44 years of the Elks Lodge # 771 in Middletown. He retired from the Middletown Housing Authority. The most important thing in the world to Ron was his family. In addition to his wife Joanne and his precious dog Kayla who was always by his side. Ron is survived by the loves of his life, his two daughters Kimberly Bacon ( James ) of Middletown and Tracy Morrin ( Glenn) of Colchester. In addition his grandchildren, Justine Burdick ( Jeremie ) Alan Anderson, Sarah Bacon, Michael Bacon, Connor Morron, Blakelee Morron and Thomas Bacon. One great Grandson Luke Sennett, and another on its way. Ron is survived his brother in law Thomas Fiducia ( Ceil), many nieces and nephews Nicole Milardo ( Rico) , Todd Scamporino and his fiancee Lynn Ferrara, Sandra Blevins, Heather Klein, Christine Powderly ( John) and Joseph Fiducia ( Tiffany), Cheryl Grinell and Cindy Thrasher Also extended family to include Danielle Nowakowski, Jennifer Inferrera, Lorraine Fiducia, Amelia Hoekstra, Matt Garofalo, Marty and Pearl Greco, and Cheryl Gary Wolcott. The Thrasher family would like to thank their neighbors for all the help throughout the last few years. Joanne would like to also thank the staff at Wadsworth Glen Healthcare facility for their support during this trying time. Joanne would like to also thank Dr. Suzanne Hong and the Staff at Middlesex Oncology as well as Dr. Wayne Franco and staff, and Middlesex Hospital Infusion Department, especially Margaret, Peggy and Maureen for their kindness and support. Funeral Services will be held Friday March 13, 2015 from 10:00- 12:30 at the D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main St. In Lieu of Flowers donations in Ron's Memory may be made to the Meriden Animal Control.
