Rosa DiMauro, 89, of Middletown passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, and will now rest in peace with her soulmate and husband Rosario DiMauro. She was born on October 10, 1932, in Melilli, Sicily, the daughter of Maria (Morello) and Salvatore DiMauro. Rosa dedicated her love and soul to her husband, children/ spouses, and her most prized possessions, her grandchildren. She enjoyed her flower gardens, cooking remarkable meals, baking her Italian cookies, and most of all just spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Joanne DiMauro, Joseph DiMauro, Rosemarie (David) Thrall and Salvatore (Olivia) DiMauro as well as the "Precious Gems" of her life, her grandchildren Kayla (Thrall) Curtis (Tom), Conner Thrall (Madeline Acquilano), Dante and Ava DiMauro. She is also survived by her brother Rosario DiMauro, sister Mary Imme (Vincent), brother in-law and sisters-in-law Sebastian (Maria) DiMauro, Laura (Salvatore) DiMauro and Grace (Angelo) DiMauro as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters and in-laws, Anna Alecci (Vito), Vincenza Musumeci (Giuseppe), Giuseppina Russo (Sebastiano), Angela Bartolotta (Gino) and brother Sebastian DiMauro (Lina), brothers-in-law Angelo DiMauro and Salvatore DiMauro, and sisters-in-law Annette Italia (Giuseppe) and Mary DiMauro (Rosario).
Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 18th at St. Sebastian Church in Middletown. Visitation hour is from 10 AM to 11 AM proceeded by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Immediately following, guests are invited to St. Sebastian Cemetery, located in Middlefield for the burial service. Please wear a facial mask during services for the consideration and welfare of all participants.
