Santino (Sammy) DiMauro of Middletown CT, born October 20, 1929, to Salvatore DiMauro and Sebastiana Bartolotta passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Middlesex Hospital.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ann Fistola DiMauro and his eight siblings. He is survived by his children Marianne Chamberlain and her husband Robert, Thomas DiMauro and his wife Anita, Lawrence DiMauro, Tanya Jamele and her husband Thomas. Sammy also left behind eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren, Nicole Emshwiller and her husband Coby and their children Carter and Marina; Adam Chamberlain and his wife Sarah and their children Nella and Talia; Amy Chamberlain and her husband Matthew Jones, Joseph DiMauro, Alyssa Jamele, Samuel DiMauro, Thomas DiMauro and Shaun Jamele as well as his sister-in-law Pauline Toretta and several nieces and nephews.
Sammy graduated from Middletown High School and joined the army to serve in the Korean War. He was a member of CT Carpenters Local 24 and worked as a union carpenter. Sammy used his skills to build many family members' homes and furniture over the years.
Calling hours will be held at D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 S Main Street in Middletown on Sunday December 11th between 4pm and 6pm.  A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 10:00AM at Saint Pius X Church, 310 Westfield Street, Middletown, CT. There will be no gathering at the funeral home prior to church.
