Sebastiana (Ann) (DiMauro) Lastrina, aged 90, passed away on August 29, 2024, in Middletown, CT. Born on January 20, 1934, Ann dedicated much of her life to her family with her kindness and nurturing spirit.

Ann's professional life was spent serving the Middletown School System and the Connecticut Department of Labor. Beyond her career, she was a passionate supporter of UCONN Women's Basketball and the New York Yankees. Her love for cooking & eating was only surpassed by her joy in caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind a loving family: children Debra (Stanley) Stachura, Barbara (Richard) Monarca, and Louis (Cindy) Lastrina; her sister Barbara-Jean DiMauro; sisters-in-law Sheila DiMauro and Helen Rafala; grandchildren Erica (Carl) Zapatka, Brennen (Alanna) Stachura, Kathryn and Grace Lastrina; great-grandchildren CJ & Charlie Zapatka, Mason & Adeline Stachura; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lastrina; her parents, Nicolo and Anna (Amenta) DiMauro; brothers Sebastian, Angelo Joseph, Salvatore, Anthony, Harry, Angelo Anthony; sisters Jennie Leveridge, Angela Incerti, Josephine Astle, Marie DiMauro; and nephews Ronald DiMauro, Benjamin Incerti, and Luke Masztal.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at St. John's Church in Cromwell, CT at 11:00 AM, preceded by calling hours at D'Angelo Funeral Home from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Clara Barton Camp, 30 Ennis Road, North Oxford, MA 01537, www.bartoncenter.org, a cause dear to Ann's heart. Ann's legacy of love and care will continue to inspire those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
