Sebastiana 'Nella" ( Mazzotta) Spatola, 88, went home to the Lord on June 8, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by the love of her life Raffaele 'Iuzzo" Spatola. Born September 2, 1929, in Melilli Sicily, daughter of the Late Giuseppe and Giuseppina (Morello) Mazzotta. Coming to United States, with her husband and two sons, they built a beautiful new life together. Always the doting wife and mother, she selflessly gave her entire self to the people she loved. She was a member of St. Sebastian Church. She enjoyed traveling and cooking daily feasts, being surrounded by family, and telling the most amazing stories. She was the pillar for our family, and will be thought of with the warmest and fondest of thoughts forever.

She is survived by her Sons Salvatore " Salvo" Spatola and his wife Leslie and Giuseppe " Joe Spatola, By her grandson Joseph Spatola ( spouse "Kaylee"), whom she helped to raise as if he were her own son. By her granddaughters Nikki and Ava Spatola and by the little joy of her life her great grandson Gianluca Sebastian Spatola, A sister Enza Mazzotta and a niece Nadia Mitoraj. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 A.M. from the D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main St. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Sebastian Church, followed by burial in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home Tuesday from 5-8 P.M.
