Sebastiano LoGiudice, 89, of Rockfall, CT, beloved husband of Josephine (Morello) LoGiudice, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Midstate Hospital surrounded by loving family by his side.
Born on February 2, 1935, in Melilli, Italy, Sebastiano was the son of the late Giovanni and Sebastiana (Aresco) LoGiudice. A resident of Rockfall for 8 years, he was known for his love of family, great smile, storytelling, and his warm, humorous spirit.
Sebastiano is survived by his devoted wife Josephine (Morello), his loving son Giovanni (John) and daughter-in-law Jennifer of Niantic, his cherished daughter Nella and son-in-law Mario Mazzotta of Rockfall, grandchildren Luigi (Gino), Nicholas, Alexia, Olivia and Sebastian. He also leaves behind his brothers Paulo LoGiudice of Middletown and Emilio LoGiudice of Melilli, Italy; his sisters Filomena Cartelli of Cromwell, Anna Andolina of Middletown, and Cecilia Gaudino of Middletown; and many dear nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Santo and sisters Pina Marino, Maria Pulvirenti, and Carmela Fazzino.
Sebastiano was a man of many passions. He found joy in tending to his garden, cooking traditional Italian meals, fishing for blue crabs, and most of all, sharing time with his family. He was a man of faith and read the Holy Bible from cover to cover many times. His friendly smile and big blue eyes touched many and would brighten any room. He delighted in telling stories of "the old days," often punctuated with a funny joke or two.
