Sebastiano J. Santostefano, 80, of Middletown, husband of Gloria Orsino passed away peacefully on June 27, 2016. He was born in Melilli, Sicily on November 20, 1935, son of the late Antonino and Nella (Giardina) Santostefano. Sebastiano was also predeceased by his late wife Maria Magnano Santostefano. Sebastiano was a resident of Middletown for 53 years. He immigrated from Melilli, Sicily to Middletown in 1963. He was the proud owner of Santostefano Auto Body for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Sebastian Church and the Italian American Club. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, he also loved to spend time in his garden and making wine. He especially enjoyed music and dancing. His infectious laughter filled the room. Many people who knew him were touched by him. A special thank you to his caregiver, Jemile and Middletown Hospice Care for taking care of our loved one. Besides his wife, Gloria, Sebastiano is survived by three daughters, Nella Indomenico of Middletown, Josie Santostefano of Newington and Laura Pozvek of Derby. He has two sisters, Arcangela Salafia of Siracusa, Sicily and Letizia Monarca of Middletown and brothers-in-law Enzo Salafia and Ottavio Monarca, brother-in-law Joseph Magnano and his wife Catherine and their children Alex, Chris and Sarah. He is also survived by two grand daughters Adriana and Sabrina Indomenico and a grandson Matthew Duffy. He is also survived by two stepsons, Christopher and Anthony Feisthamel of Rhode Island and a stepdaughter, Karen Feisthamel of Rhode Island as well as two sons-in-law, Charlie Duffy and Michael Pozvek, nephews Robert Sebby Monarca and Sebastian Salafia and nieces, Rita Monarca and Ketty Salafia as well as three step granddaughters, Grace, Catherine, and Emily Feisthamel and two step grandsons, Ethan Holden and Nicholas Feisthamel. Family and friends may call at the D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main St, in Middletown, on Thursday from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the D'Angelo Funeral Home, Friday at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM at St. Sebastian Church. Burial will be held in St. Sebastian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Sebastian Church.
