Ted was born August 26, 1932, in Willimantic, and was the son of Alice and Harry Heller. After his high school graduation, he moved to Durham, where he made many friends and participated in sports, including baseball, basketball, and bowling, for which he received several trophies. Besides his loving wife, Ann Marie, Ted is survived by his sister, Betty Rubinow; half-brother, Frank Katz (Mary) of North Carolina; nephew, Russell Rubinow (Kelly) of Middletown; special cousins, Bob and Liz Aresti of Cromwell, whose continuous love and care were a great comfort to Ted throughout his illness; dear friends, Lori and Joe DelGaudio of Middletown, who lovingly provided much help and support; cousin, Ralph Aresti of Maine; and several nieces and nephews. Ted was a parishioner of St. Sebastian Church and a member of the IACO, Middletown. An avid sports fan, he particularly loved UCONN Men's and Women's basketball, the New York Yankees and New York Giants. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Friday, March 27th, 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Church, Washington Street, Middletown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, in Middlefield.
