Vincent J. Grimaldi, 89, beloved husband of Angelina ( Fazzino) Grimaldi for 66 years, passed away on June 6, 2016. Vincent was born and raised in Middletown, the son of the Late Salvatore and Sebastiana ( Campisi Grimaldi. Vincent was a true gentleman, totally devoted to his family. He was very proud of his four daughters, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Vincent was a proud WW II US Navy Veteran of the Pacific Theater. He served aboard the USS Appalachian and was in Japan at the end of the war. Upon returning to Middletown after the war Vincent completed his schooling at Vinal Regional Technical School as a machinist. He was employed by Pratt Whitney for over 35 years as a Mater tool maker. In his younger years Vin was known as an excellent duck pin bowler and an outstanding softball player.

Vincent was predeceased by his daughter Diane and also his two brothers Frank and Salvatore,

In addition to his wife Vincent is survived by his daughter Joanne Kowalski Brown ( Joseph) of Rocky Hill. Jane Behm ( Gerald) and Susan Behm ( Gary) of Middletown. His son in law Daniel F. Donahue of Cobalt. Vincent leaves the following grandchildren, Ryan and Kevin Kowalski and Kristen Kowalski Gibs

(Andy) Allsion Donahue, Jaron Behm ( T'Aja) and Jessica and Brendan Behm. Also great grandchildren Jaden and Camille Behm and Alex and Noah Gibs.

Friends may call on the family at D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South main St. on Thursday june 9,2016 from 9:30-10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. at St. Sebastian Church, Internment will follow in the State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown.
