Vincent Imme, 89, beloved husband of Concetta ( DiMauro) Imme entered into eternal rest Saturday October 1, 2022. He was born May 23, 1933 in Melilli Sicily, son of the Late Giuseppe and Sebastiana ( Carta) Imme.. He was a Sargent Major in the Italian Army-Wireless Communications/ Marconista until his discharge. He met his wife at the age of twenty four and have been married for 65 years In 1996 he retired from Pratt Whitney after 30 years of service.. He was a dedicated member of St. Sebastian church and an usher for St. Sebastian Feast. He enjoyed time with family and friends at the Italian Society of Middletown., Morning walks at Wesleyan Track, Gardening.. He served on Middletown City Parking Committee
And assisted with the parking layout of downtown Main St. He had been a member of the Giuseppe Garibaldi Society and now the Italian Society of Middletown for 64 years, he has served as President for 4 terms, Trustee and treasurer, and was selected as the Italian Society " Italian of the year in Oct. 2014., where Mayor Daniel Drew proclaimed That Sunday October 12, 2014be Vincent Imme Day.
Besides his wife he is survived by four sons Joseph imme of Middletown, Salvatore and Emanuela "rita" Imme of Middletown. James and Franca ( Colaccina) of Southington and Michael and Shannon ( Meola) Imme of Plantsville.
A sister Josephine ( Alfredo) Saraceno of Middletown. A sister Concetta Imme of Melilli Sicily, a Brother Sebastiano and Maria ( Aresco) Imme of Melilli Sicily.8 Grandchildren 5 Great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday morning at 10 A.M. at St. Sebastian church. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Sebastian Cemetery. Middlefield. Relatives and friends may call at the D'Angelo Funeral Home Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
